The Proposed Budget represents the County's proposed spending plan for the coming fiscal year as well as an annual work plan based on countywide priorities. It also serves as a tool to inform the community about County government. The FY 2007-08 Proposed Budget includes detailed information about County services and the County's finances and provides an overall statistical profile of Marin County. Summary information about each department's most important goals and initiatives is also included in the Proposed Budget. The FY 2007-08 Budget-in-Brief provides the benefit of a high level overview of the Proposed Budget.
On June 19, 2007, the Board of Supervisors will consider adoption of the Proposed Budget as an interim spending plan for the new fiscal year that begins on July 1. Prior to officially adopting a final budget for FY 2007-08, the Board will hold public hearings beginning on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in the Board chambers, located in Room 330 at the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael.
In addition to the website, the FY 2007-08 Proposed Budget is available in electronic (CD) format, and the Budget-in-Brief is available in paper format. Both can be obtained at the County Administrator’s Office, located in Room 325 at the Civic Center. The Proposed Budget is also available for review in all County Library branches. Please contact Brian Rockwell at (415) 499-6505 if you have any questions.
