“Another World is Possible -- Another U.S. is Necessary” was the slogan of the U.S. Social Forum, a five-day gathering attended by close to 7,000 in Atlanta from June 27-July 1.
Participants, many from the U.S. South, shared experiences in struggles ranging from the fight for immigrant rights to justice for victims of Hurricane Katrina, to ending the Iraq war, stopping destruction of the environment, abolishing the death penalty and defending legal abortion.
You are invited to a report back by participants in the forum and a discussion of how to fight for “another world”.
