Critically acclaimed Berkeley songwriter/activist Steve Taylor-Ramírez brings his neo-folk, blues and Latin-hillbilly roots to a benefit concert to feed the homeless Friday, July 20, at 7:30 pm, at the College Ave. Presbyterian Church, 5951 College Avenue, Oakland (Rockridge), CA 94618. The cost is a $5-10 donation, free for children under 12.

Also on the bill July 20 is the rock and soul of Kaitlin McGaw, who combines the power of Heart, the blues of Janis Joplin, the range of Pat Benatar, and the warmth of Carole King. http://www.kaitlinmcgaw.com.
