Pastors for Peace
18th Cuba Friendshipment Caravan
6PM Dinner (feel free to bring a potluck dish or not)
Humanist Hall, 390 27th St,
7:00 program starts.
Dick Becker of International ANSWER and Alicia Jrapko of the International Committee to Free the Five will be our featured speakers.
Tshaka Barrows, a riveting speaker, will also be there to tell us about the Venceremos Brigade and how Pastors and Venceremos work together to call attention to the mindless, mean-spirited blockade that US administration after administration has maintained against Cuba.
Juanita Johnson and Alfonso Loera will be on hand to MC and extend greetings and best wishes from the Oakland/Santiago Sister City.
And that's not all!
In addition, the Bay Area premiere of "El proceso," (The Trial), will be shown, exploding once and for all the myth that somehow the US "Justice" system is impartial and, indeed, just.
Have you seen SiCKO yet? Pastors for Peace was credited for assisting Michael Moore's connections with Cuba's medical system, that connection facilitated Moore and the 911 Rescue Workers bid for medical care in Cuba.
