The theme of the march was "Healthcare for All." I never saw the front of the march, so I don't know if there was a banner displaying the theme. There were not a lot of progressive political signs, but there were a lot of signs that I found questionable, or even offensive. What was up with the "Wet for Dykes" swimming pool contingent on the sidewalk? I also didn't like the "Bill for First Lady" sign, which was carried throughout the march by two men. The one who was dressed up as Hillary was carrying BDSM gear, as if Hillary is the top, or "in charge" of their relationship. (What kind of a relationship do they have- are they polyamorous? Does she have veto power over with whom he will conduct his extra-marital affairs? Does she mandate that he use protection? I doubt it.) Does one have to be a dominatrix in order to be a successful woman candidate for president? No. (not that I would vote for her!)
Nonetheless, it was beautiful weather, there was a bi contingent, and there were tens of thousands of women out in the streets.
