The 5 million people of Denmark have some notable historical achievements thanks to a strong labor movement, including the famous rescue of most Danish Jews from the Holocaust, gay partnership that is almost as good as gay marriage in 1989, and like the rest of the industrialized world but unlike the US, a national healthcare system guaranteeing healthcare to all who reside in Denmark and the usual high life expectancy and low infant mortality that comes with good healthcare. In Santa Cruz on July 12 and in San Francisco on July 14 and 15, you will have the opportunity to hear the workingclass Danish musical heritage performed by Hanne Skaalum, folk singer, Victoria Thygesen, folk singer and singer-songwriter, Irina Strange, international jazz singer and pianist, Micael Castor, singer and songwriter, Jørn Nielsen, contrabass player, Bendix Nielsen, drummer, Claus Bastrup, accordion player.
