Please join us tonite for our Monthly Monday Meet, Eat & Greet (MMMEG) Dinner Fundraiser, at 6:00p.m., Mudrakers Café, 2801 Telegraph Ave, Berkeley.
Our theme for this MEG is "So Congress refuses to Shut Down war! What's Next for us?"
How about a "2007: Summer of Protest," inspired by and stemming from the roots of the peace movement, one being the Summer of Love and the other being the Seneca Falls Women's Peace Encampment?
We are so very fortunate this MMMEG to have a presentation by one of the early peace activists, Janette Sperber, who actually spent a summer at the Seneca Falls Encampment. She will share the goals and workings of the camp with us, and she even has pictures!
Seneca Falls might sound familiar to us because the location was also the site of the first U.S. Women's Rights Convention in 1848!!!
We are also fortunate to be returning to Mudrakers and yet another scrumptious Mediterranean affair that they will so expertly provide for us!
$23 suggested donation for dinner and program: more if you can, less if you can't. PLEASE RSVP 510-524-2776 by Friday, June 15th if possible!
