Hello everyone,
This Saturday, June 2nd, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, please join our mass demonstration at 16th & Broadway, in Sacramento, to protest the continued U.S. occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan and to promote freedom for the Palestinian people and their elected representatives.
It's very important right now to generate actions that have the potential to evolve into something bigger. Following last week's awful example of U.S. political leadership, and the sad announcement from Cindy Sheehan, it's clear that there's a lot of work to do. That work must involve large street demonstrations that allow like-minded people to network while drawing public attention to the criminal atrocities that we want to stop.
If we don't try to make things change, nothing will. And we can be certain that our AIPAC-led Congress will soon be talking about more funding, so we can't let our guard down!
We need to gather, protest, network, build contact lists and collaborate for change. We also need to continue the fight so that the efforts of people like Cindy Sheehan will not have been in vain!
Please come out this Saturday for all of the reasons above and to demand that Congress and the Senate stop spending tax dollars to place troops in harm's way and to demand that Israel stop its egregious violations of human rights and international law in Palestine.
Please forward this to others, and bring your friends, banners, flags, signs, art and instruments to 16th & Broadway on Saturday, June 2nd from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Thank you in advance for coming out. We look forward to seeing you there!
