The Oakland Museum of California, 1000 Oak @ 10th Street, is one block from the Lake Merritt BART.
Gamelan Sekar Jaya, a Bay Area gamelan internationally renowned for it's dedication to cross cultural artistic exchange, performs its season finale concert at the Oakland Museum of California on Saturday, June 2, at 3 p.m.
The performance includes traditional and contemporary music directed by the respected Balinese super-talents I Putu Putrawan and Ida Ayu Ketut Suciawani, and and features the shimmering sounds of three featured gamelan ensembles and vibrant Balinese dance.
The concert is included with museum admission: $8/ $5 seniors and students with ID/children five and under are free.
