Pace e Bene Training in Nonviolent Conflict Resolution and De-escalation.
In this workshop we will explore ways to transform “us vs them” thinking and to see the piece of the truth that each person possesses. We will explore ways to de-escalate tense or potentially violent situations and role-play possible responses. In addition, we will learn and practice a concrete process for communicating in conflict situations.
Trainers: Laura Slattery is Engage Program Coordinator for Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service. Ken Preston-Pile is Training Coordinator for Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service. Bring a bag lunch. We will provide drinks and cookies.
Cost: $25-50 sliding scale. If you can pay more, we can give some scholarships. Pre-register by calling the Peace Center at (925) 933-7850.
