Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek
Professor Michael Nagler, founder of U.C. Berkeley’s Peace and Conflict Studies Program, and author of The Search for a Nonviolent Future and other books, will speak about “Opening our Eyes to the Power of Nonviolence. Prof. Nagler has spoken and written widely on the subject of peace and nonviolence for many years, especially since 9/11. He has consulted for the U.S. Institute of Peace and many other organizations and is President of the board of METTA: Center for Nonviolence Education, which he founded, and is on the board of PeaceWorkers. He has recently co-founded Educators for Nonviolence (info [at] efnv.org).
