$150,000 worth of fine art and luxury items will be auctioned in a lively exchange led by celebrity auctioneer, Stephen Tourell of Toomey-Tourell Fine Art. A night to show your personal philanthropy, enhance your art collection, and meet some of the City's movers and shakers.
Proceeds from the evening will support Visual Aid's programs for artists with life-threatening illnesses and Academy of Friends, helping HIV/AIDS service organizations. Both are leaders in the nonprofit community, recognized for raising awareness and support for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Arrive early to mingle and groove to the chill euro beat spun by DJ Snuggythugg while scoping out the fabulous auction. Savor specialty cocktails, wine and hors d'oeuvres before giving way to the main event: a live auction of 50+ items. Of special interest, a beautiful baby grand piano, international airline tickets and extraordinary works of art will tempt the eye and pocketbook.
Featuring paintings, sculpture, prints and photographs by Michael Beck, Stephen DeStaebler, Masami Teraoka, Timothy Cummings, Shimpei Takeda, Joni West, Livia Stein, Clinton Fein, Teresa Camozzi, Della Reed, Sylvia Poloto, Fred Blackman, Reuben Lorch-Miller, Jil Weinstock, Charles Linder, Steve Miranda Byer, Sandow Birk, Gordon Cook, Robin Denevan, Monica Denevan, Kirsten Stolle, Rene Garcia Jr., Doug Glovaski, David Grimard Romero, Sarah Hinckley, Alex Maldonado, Betty Merken, Jock Sturges and more.
Participating galleries: Charles Campbell Gallery, Don Soker Contemporary Art, Ames Gallery, Andrea Schwartz Gallery, ArtHaus, Aurobora Press, Bucheon Gallery, Catharine Clark Gallery, Scott Nichols Gallery, Claudia Chapline, Takada Gallery, Dolby Chadwick Gallery, Electric Works, Fraenkel Gallery, Gregory Lind Gallery, Jack Fischer Gallery, Linc Art, Robert Koch Gallery, Varnish Fine Art and Cecile Moochnek Gallery.
