Santa Cruz Indymedia is a tool for the creation of radical, accurate, and passionate tellings of truth. On Santa Cruz Indymedia you can easily publish events to the calendar and articles, photos, audio, and video to the newswire. You can also add comments and additions to other stories posted on the site.
Santa Cruz Indymedia is dedicated to improving coverage of local issues and events. To do this, we need people to add events to the open-publishing calendar, write articles about local issues, and publish photos, audio and video to the newswire. No matter how much time you can devote, you can contribute. Come to the meeting and learn how!
Do you already know how to use Santa Cruz Indymedia? Excellent. Come on out to the Resource Center for Nonviolence this Sunday, May 13th at 7:00pm. This is a great time to get more involved with your local Independent Media Center which connects activists in the Monterey Bay Area to allies across the world. If you appreciate Santa Cruz Indymedia, then we need your participation to sustain and improve this community project in participatory media from the grassroots.
Since 1999, Indymedia has grown into a network of more than 200 Independent Media Centers (IMCs) across the world by means of a commitment to equality, decentralization and autonomy.
Santa Cruz Indymedia has been an Independent Media Center for the Monterey Bay Area since 2001.
