Fresno May Day Rally Pics
Around 5,000 people ended up showing up in downtown Fresno on Mayday. Gathering in a free speech area of the Fulton Mall dedicated to the I.W.W. Free Speech fight of 1911. Last year around 20,000 people marched and rallied on Mayday in front of City Hall. Many people believe that the smaller turnout this year is a direct result of the recent immigration raids throughout the Central Valley, which have spread waves of rumors and fear throughout the area, including a rumor that ICE was going to have checkpoints set up on Mayday in downtown Fresno.
