Thousands of people gathered at Ocean Beach in San Francisco to spell out the words "IMPEACH NOW!" with their bodies. Vocal opponents of capitalism and US imperialism mingled with pro-democrat liberals to voice frustration with what many call a “criminal regieme.” As the 100-foot letters were not visible from the ground, a hellicpter flew overhead to film the message. Even organizer Brad Newsham had said, at the first “Beach Impeach” that the movement to oust George W. Bush “needs a visual image.”

“We need to let [our representatives in Washington] know what the people feel and we need to stand up for what we believe in,” said Newsham. “We need to hold ourselves accountable for the things we’ve done as a nation, and the only way to do that is by holding our leaders accountable.”

Wow you are right, from the ground we were all just waiting and wondering what we must look like in an aerial photograph. However, I can make out the letters really well in your first couple photos. That's exciting, I can't wait to see how the "PEACE NOW" turned out. Brad was an excellent coordinator, and everyone who participated were also very efficient when it came time to morph (from what I saw). And we were able to send the counter-protesters away. I call that successful. Nice pics!

The Second American Revolution-July 4, 2007

Be it resolved that as a result of the intransigence of our elected representatives, to include Congress and the office of the Presidency, we the progeny of the Son’s and Daughter’s of Liberty now declare a Second American Revolution is necessary. Further, be it resolved that both the current President & Vice President should be subjected to the process of Impeachment. Further, should the Congress fail to begin the process of Impeachment, Congressional leadership should be held in contempt for their failure to protect citizen rights and privileges granted under the Constitution of the United States.

To Wit:
Our citizen constitutional rights and representative government have been subverted by very powerful self-serving organizations, to include the most privileged within our society.

The office of the Presidency, to include members of our current Congress, has used subterfuge to engage the American people in unwarranted military actions in the Middle East, against the majority will.

Because of an ill-conceived foreign policy, our government has damaged the reputation and indeed our positive standing within the world community.

Because of ill-conceived world trade agreements, our government has damaged the long-term economic viability of our nation, impeding the financial welfare of our government and our citizens.

Let the word go fourth, that we will not permit our current government and our God inspired Constitution be destroyed by a few greedy and self-serving, un-elected representatives. (231 Years after the Declaration of Independence)
