The WCRC Gallery is pleased to announce “Significant Others,” featuring the artwork of fourteen local artists who are members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender communities. This is WCRC’s third annual art show featuring work by LGBT artists. The show features visual art by: Gregg Cassin, Jana Grover, Page Hodel, Helen Krayenhoff, Yvonne Littleton, Patricia McGullam, Sandy Morris, Analy Nakat, Neelam Pathikonda, Trey Reed, Zona Sage, Jean Sirius, Arnetta Smith, & Jon Tomlinson. .
“Significant Others” includes collage, paintings, mixed media works, photography, and more. Many of the works are self-portraits or representative of LGBT community or aesthetic.
The show runs May 18th – June 28, 2007. June is LGBT Pride Month. A reception with the artists will be on Friday, May 18th, 6-9 PM.
There will be live music at the May 18th reception by Sugar Mama, Gwen Avery, Blues performer extraordinaire and queer blues by singer and songwriter Kali B as "Mr TuffNStuff: Drag King/Blues Man
