Copwatch on Cinco de Mayo 2007 in Eastside San Jose
Stop police brutality!
Learn your rights!
Hold the police accountable!

San Jose police have a history of brutality and racism
and the 2006 findings of a Santa Clara County grand
jury clearly show racial profiling and intimidation:

On Cinco de Mayo 2006 a Copwatch was planned to
observe and record police behavior toward the people
of San Jose. 6 people including activists from
participating organizations and a musical performer
were arrested at Story and King in Eastside San Jose
where the Copwatch to begin.

This Cinco de Mayo, join San Jose residents in a
Copwatch to:
-defend the right to observe and record police
activity
-hold police accountable for any abuse of the Mexican
community as they celebrate the struggles and dignity
of their people
-build the movement for police accountability
