Gonzales v. Carhart - Prelude to reversing Roe v. Wade?

by Bill Carpenter (wcarpent [at] ccsf.edu)
Atty. Beth Parker, counsel to Planned Parenthood, spoke April 19, 2007, at San Francisco City Hall. The rally was called to protest the United States Supreme Court decision of the previous day. (More speeches later.) Parker warns that we should expect a flood of anti-choice legislation in coming months and years based on the invitation issued by the five-member majority in Gonzales v. Carhart. Two-minute QuickTime movie. 7MB.

All the usual suspects(Louisiana and some others) are working bills through their state govt's to ban abortion outright.

I hope Roe v Wade is overturned. Abortion is against humanity. It enslaves females and has nothing to do with feminism. Check out the Feminists for Life website. Progressives are NOT all pro abortion.
by by denying women access
to thier bodies. That puts you pretty squarely outside of progressive concerns and traditions. Feminists for Life are authoritarian non-feminists, who have never gotten the nod of recognition from the larger feminist community, many of whom have thier own critiques of abortions but none of which practice or call for prohibition, which is all that Feminists for Life do, when they call for Roe to be overturned.
In short, they're a joke.

It's time for women to TAKE back their reproductive rights without being put in the childish position of having to ask permission of a male dominant court. Its time to relearn use of herbs and Menstrual Extraction (safe up to 7 weeks) and for women to help women control their reproduction at home.
Read A Womans Book of Choices by Rebecca Chalker and Carol Downer and visit http://www.sisterzeus.com for tons of info on controlling your own body. A government controled by men does NOT give womens issues priority.
Now we women have LESS rights than an expensive purebred horse. If the mare's pregnancy threatened her life, a veterinarian would perform an abortion. But women are now only inanimate OBJECTS-incubators that are expendable.
Now the govts contempt for women is visible for all to see. Forced pregnancy with NO concern for the mothers health is like going back to the start of the dark ages. (We are still IN the dark ages!)

Its time to TAKE back our bodies from the body snatchers.

Its time for women to learn the use of herbs and menstrual extraction. We can control our reproduction at home safely in self help groups in which can safely do menstrual extraction after being taught how Read A Womans Book of Choices and visit http://www.sisterzeus.com When we can control our own bodies it wont mattter if Roe is overturned.
