Celebrating the Environmental Leadership of Cesar Chavez and the
Farmworkers’ Movement

Come reflect on the life and legacy of Cesar Chavez. We'll show the
film "Fight in the Fields" which tells the story of Cesar Chavez and
the history of the farmworkers' struggle. Locally produced, this award
winning film includes archival footage and interviews with those
involved in gaining rights and improving the working conditions for
those who toil to produce the food we eat. Information will also be on
hand about the movement today, and current campaigns to protect
workers, their health, and the environment. This is part of Berkeley's
citywide Cesar Chávez Commemoration activities. Check out all the
other Commemoration events happening, here: ecologycenter.org/chavez
