"Starve War, Feed Peace" -- Walnut Creek, CA -- 3/17/07

by Sharon Peterson
Photos from Walnut Creek's march and rally in observance of the shameful 4th anniversary of the War in Iraq.
When a movement catches hold in the suburbs ... that's when the winning begins.

Here are some pictures from Walnut Creek. Enjoy!

This event -- "Starve War, Feed Peace" -- was sponsored by a coalition including, among others, the Mt. Diablo Peace & Justice Center, Lamorinda Peace and Justice Group, American Friends Service Committee and Grandparents for Peace. Estimates range upward from 1,000 participants.

I was proud to march with the Green Party of Contra Costa contingent.
