March 18 Anti-war Protest Photos... 30,000 people on the streets
These photos help document the anti-war demonstration in San Francisco on March 18, 2007.
Although the S.F. Chronicle reported only about 3000 attended, in realty it was closer to 30,000. The corporate media continues to try to diminish the real and growing opposition to the war in Iraq and the escalating U.S. military force for imperial domination of the world. The Democratic party is doing nothing effective to stop the war and to bring the troops home now.
ONLY THE PEOPLE CAN STOP THIS WAR AND OTHER WARS OF AGGRESSION!
WE MUST CONTINUE TO RESIST U.S. IMPERIALISM AND THE MILITARY DEATH MACHINE!

At least the media is consistent in getting things wrong . It only solidifies that best approach to what you read in the mainstream media: read everything with a healthy sense of scepticism. But as for 3,000-that is truly troubling because it seems so off. I was there and i guestimated at a minimum 20,000. Maybe the Bush admin put out a press release stating 3,000 and the SF Chron just picked it up. Or maybe they are talking about the number of american troops killed in Iraq. Whatever, they got it way off.
The paper is chock full of errors.
I'd guess 5-6,000. No where near the numbers of 4 years ago.
