Champions for Change - Benefit for CUAV
Community United Against Violence (CUAV), the nation's oldest LGBT anti-violence organization, will hold its 28th anniversary celebration, Champions for Change, on Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 6-9pm at Mighty Galleries (119 Utah at 15th St) in San Francisco.
We will be honoring our allies in the movement against violence, including Beverly Upton, Executive Director of the San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium; Asian Women's Shelter, our community partner; and Kamala Harris, San Francisco District Attorney. Fabulous performances will be provided by SF Gay Men's Chorus ensemble del Castro; singer & songwriter Levi Kreis; and queer comedienne Marga Gomez.
Enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, and the company of other heroic queers as we continue the struggle to build safe and strong LGBTQ communities. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity to support CUAV and the movement to end violence against and within LGBTQ communities.
$100 general ticket price. Tickets can be purchased online. Discounted community tickets available. Contact us for more information.
