International Women's History Month Film Series:
The struggle of African and Puerto Rican Women is the struggle to liberate their whole people.
3/23- "Daughters of the Dust"- This film chronicles two important days in the life of the Peazant family, descendants of enslaved Africans who reside on islands near South Carolina and Georgia. Their Gullah culture was maintained through resistance to the white power system.
Join the Uhuru Solidarity Movement!
No longer can we be passive as white people in a system based on slavery and genocide and the ongoing oppression of African and indigenous peoples. NOW is the time to actively support the growing movement for the unification and liberation of Africa, challenging the conditions African people face in the U.S. and worldwide.
