Come out and join us! For more information,

We launched our activities for the week on Monday with more than 100 people present,
despite the rain and cold. Speakers who have expressed their support include members
from labor and the faith community, allies from the African American community,
advocates for the homeless, youth and Wednesday afternoon we were joined by laid-off
workers from Monster Cable Company who made the connection between immigrant and
workers rights and the rights of all families to not be separated.

More than 13,000 individuals have been detained by ICE since late January. We have
heard stories of individuals who are fearful to leave their homes to attend school
or go to work. Maria Jimenez, director of Mujeres Unidas y Activas, said it
perfectly on Wednesday: "We keep the economy thriving, we take care of children,
harvest crops, build houses, but we are afraid to go to the store. We are living in
fear."

That fear turns into outrage and action, which is what we are witnessing this week
throughout the Bay Area. Our representatives need to know what's happening in our
communities. Call Speaker Nancy Pelosi, let her know you support the week of action
and ask her to leverage her power as Speaker of the House to stop the ICE raids from
continuing until we have a comprehensive fix to our immigration system -
