"Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy: pure creative energy." "There is an in-dwelling creative force infusing all of life--including ourselves." From Julia Cameron, The Artist's Way

Bast is asking us to join together in celebration of Her. She is asking us to make a commitment to our creativity, to nourish our spirit, to celebrate the gifts we have been given. What are you creating in your life right now? How are you nourishing your innate creativity?

Come join in the act of sacred play as we create images in clay for our homes, to protect us and to remind us of our commitment and openness to our own creativity. We will also be performing a spell with the intention of receiving guidance and support in our lives as creative beings.

Please bring a green candle, cat images, images of Bast and pictures of mothers and children for the altar. If you wish to dress in Her sacred colors, please wear green and/or black.

Her name has been called for over 5,000 years. Her story is long and ever-changing. Come learn more about this ancient feline Goddess and share your knowledge of Her with your sisters!

Mau Bast! Mau Bast! A Basti, per em setat, erta-na chu em asui neter sentra semu hena net'emmit, hetep ab em asui tau heqt.
Translation: Hail Bast! Hail Bast! Hail Bast, coming forth from the secret place, may there be given to me splendor in the place of incense, herbs, and love-joys, peace of heart in the place of bread and beer.

Daughters of the Goddess is a Dianic, womyn-only Goddess Temple dedicated in the Spirit of Aloha to the preservation and perpetuation of Goddess culture, public ceremony, ritual, and Womyn's Mysteries.
