The film "Broken Rainbow" shows the struggle of the Dineh (Navajo) people. They have been battling with Peabody Coal, the BIA, and state/local governments for over 30 years. This Academy Award winning documentary shows how these peaceful people have been cast aside to make room for the mining of coal, oil, uranium, and natural gas; as well as the devastating effects these actions have on their health and the environment.
This event will help raise money to purchase food, medicine, and other essential items for the Dineh people on an upcoming supply and support run.
