March 17, Salinas Vigil to Mourn Four Years of War

To commemorate the Fourth Anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq,
and express our sorrow over the loss of life this war has caused,
the Salinas Action League is calling for a Vigil to Mourn Four Years of War in Salinas on Saturday, March 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the four corners of the intersection of Blanco, South Main, and Hwy 68.

This vigil is scheduled early so that participants
can also attend events in Monterey later in the afternoon.

If you are able to walk a distance, please park legally in areas away from the businesses so the regular patrons can park close.
And if possible, please patronize a business (two grocery stores, a video rental, take out pizza, etc.)

This is a busy intersection with traffic signals.
DO NOT JAYWALK OR CROSS ON A RED LIGHT,
and do not obstruct vehicle or occasional pedestrian traffic.
