Please help support micro-power radio in Oaxaca . In the continuing popular uprising of the people of Oaxaca against corrupt state and federal officials there is a need for better citizen communication. Stephen Dunifer, of Oakland, CA, founder of Free Radio Berkeley, is now the director of Project TUPA, "Transmitters Uniting the Peoples of the Americas" (http://www.radioTUPA.org).
to bring very low cost low-power transmitters to the people of Oaxaca . We are asking you to help by coming to a Proyecta TUPA fundraiser Tuesday Feb 27—7 pm—at the CAFÉ infoshop, 935 F St. in downtown Fresno . This event is sponsored by CAFÉ and Frente Indígena de Organizaciones Binacionales (FIOB) a local Oaxacan group and will include films, discussion, food, and music. Support TUPA; support APPO; support the strugggle for indigenous rights and genuine democracy in Oaxaca and all of Mexico.
