Hello everyone:
On Saturday, March 17th, from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, please join hundreds of peace activists at 16th & Broadway, in Sacramento, to protest the 4th year since the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq.
The 16th & Broadway event will be part of a national weekend of anti-war actions. On March 17th, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the Pentagon in Washington DC. in a mass demonstration to demand: "U.S. Out of Iraq Now!" Note that San Francisco's protest occurs on Sunday, March 18th, so there's no schedule conflict with the Sacramento event.
Obviously, we always hope that our messages are disseminated to a large number of people, but this event will create an unusually good opportunity for that to happen. In particular, the Sacramento area media will want to cover Sacramento's contribution to the national peace action. This is another important reason why we need a strong turnout.
If you have plans to go out of town on March 17th, please cancel them (unless you're going to D.C.) and come to 16th & Broadway to protest the illegal occupations of Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine!
To ensure strong attendance, please forward this to others; and bring your friends, banners, flags, signs, art, and instruments to 16th & Broadway on Saturday, March 17th.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you!
