Announcing 8 days of Anarchy - 2007 edition

8 days of anarchy are a series of events scheduled in the Bay Area from March 13th to March 20th

What are 8 days of anarchy? They are a series of events coordinated around the BASTARD conference of anarchist theory in the San Francisco Bay Area in March. This year the events include: several discussions, an anarchist martial arts seminar, strategy gaming, a movie, a conference, and an all day derive (on Friday).

On Saturday we are featuring the opportunity for people to spend time on the mat in a seminar with Jeff Monson. He is an anarchist Mixed Martial Arts fighter who recently fought for the heavyweight title of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). He will also be giving a presentation at the BASTARD conference on Sunday.

Let's spend 8 days remembering why we can continue resist the current order, because of each other!

And we are capable. Capable of getting past this seemingly depressing time. Capable of dusting ourselves off and starting new exciting projects worth participating in. We are capable of anything we choose.

Let's choose projects that reject politics and commerce. Let's choose projects that celebrate a life worth living. Let our resistance be our project!

Day One: A discussion. "What is Anarchist?"

when: noon Friday March 16th

Day Five: Jeff Monson Seminar & Benefit Show
