Why we came to protest in San Francisco today Part 1
People from many walks of life came to San Francisco today to protest the plan to send more troops to Iraq. All had personal reasons for believing that plan is wrong, wrong, WRONG.
Many believe that an escalation of troops will only add to the mayhem in the Middle East, not lessen it.
Here are some individuals interviewed on the spur of the moment-- plus some clips taken from speeches given by Ross Mirkarimi and Todd Chretien.

San Francisco
Playing around with an mp3 player that records, I tried my hand at randomly interviewing a few people I encountered at the antiwar rally today. The quality is not great-- but hopefully, the clips below will give a flavor of what happened today.
All of the interviews were random, save the one with Carol Brouillet who I have known and admired for some time now.
That so many gave up other plans to join with each other to protest today should be a strong message that "the writing is on the wall"--
It is time to begin bringing our troops home, it is time for Bush to resign or be impeached, it is time to say "no" to further deceptions, and it is time to uncover the truths about a government that so poorly represents us.

The story above has Steve Geller's interview twice--
Here is the photo of Steve which I meant to upload.

I once had a shop teacher who said the best carpenter is not the one who never admits mistakes, but the one who can FIX his mistakes... well, does that mean as many as one can make?
In the story above, I wrote that Jim Dorenkott "is a veteran and activist who does not believe that Americans should not be sacriced for lies."
That is plainly in error:
The corrected sentence should be: "Jim is a veteran and activist who believes Americans should NOT be sacriced for lies."
Sorry for the error.
Please address further errors I may not have noticed or comments below.

Paul W. Lovinger is the man interviewed and pictured above, not Paul W. Levinger as stated.
