Harpseals.org Announces All Star Line Up
Actor/Comedian Hal Sparks Added To Host Benefit Concert
Original band members of Great White to Perform

January 24, 2007 ~ Los Angeles, CA ~ Harpseals.org has announced actor/comedian Hal Sparks will host this year’s All Star benefit concert on Saturday.

Actor/comedian Hal Sparks first gained recognition and acclaim as the host of E!’s Emmy-nominated Talk Soup. He co-starred for five years in the hit Showtime series Queer as Folk and is one of the stars of the VH1 I Love…series. He has appeared in the films Spider-Man 2 and Dude, Where’s My Car? and has guest-starred on the television series CSI, Frasier, and Las Vegas. He recently showed off his vocal talent on the FOX series Celebrity Duets. Sparks tours throughout the country doing stand-up and performs as the lead singer/guitarist in his Metal band Zero1 which recently released its first album.

The entertainment line up for the Star studded benefit concert includes Platinum, Grammy nominees Rock band Great White, original singer/songwriter of Warrant, Jani Lane, Hot AC Breakthrough Artist of 2006 (NMW) JAK PARIS with special guest REBA star Scarlett Pomers and NBC’s Star Tomorrow Top 5 Finalist, Rock singer/songwriter of The Year (LAMA), Bob Gentry.

Great White will perform for the first time together in 6 years. Plans are underway for a summer tour that will include 70-80 shows, kicking off the tour for the Save the Canadian Baby Harp Seals benefit. They are in the process of writing for a new album and preparing to record in early 07.

There will also be celebrity and corporation donations for a silent auction. Proceeds will go directly to Harpseals.org.

The purpose of the benefit is to draw attention to the brutal slayings of over 335,000 defenseless baby seals killed each year in Canada.

Last year Paul and Heather McCartney brought media attention and made international headlines after they visited the seals in Canada and spoke up on the Larry King show about this needless brutality. Other celebrities who have spoken out against the hunt are Martin Sheen, Mick Jagger, Pierce Brosnan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Linda Blair, Sean Penn, Ed Bagley Jr. with many more “A” listers who support “Save the Baby Harp Seals.”
