Protest will occur at all four corners of the intersection of 16th Street & Broadway, IN SACRAMENTO.
Please join Cindy Sheehan this Friday, January 19th, at either (or both) of the following two Sacramento events:
Friday 4-6 pm:
As the national and local peace movement builds momentum, please join Cindy Sheehan at 16th & Broadway, where she and many peace supporters will gather to protest the occupation of Iraq, Doris Matsui's and Congress' failure to stop funding it, and George Bush's criminal plan to send more troops to Iraq.
This will be Cindy's first public appearance since returning from Cuba, where she bravely called for the closure of the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay.
Please bring your friends, banners, flags, signs and art, etc.
Friday 6-8 pm:
Don’t miss an inspiring and unforgettable "Fireside Chat with Cindy Sheehan" at the home of Stephen & Virginia Pearcy. Open to the first 60 people to RSVP at stephen.pearcy [at] sbcglobal.net. Food and refreshments available. Subjects of discussion can be expected to range from Cindy's trip to Cuba to her concerns about the "surge" and Matsui's and Congress' occupation funding. Donations for Cindy's continued international peace efforts accepted but not required. Address: 2732 Marty Way, Sacramento.
Friday's two events will be a great opportunity for us to join forces with America's most compelling peace activist! Please forward this to others (including lists).
