Stop the War Now-Drive Out the Bush Regime!
The World Can’t Wait – Drive Out the Bush Regime will be rallying with other organizations in San Francisco, as hundreds of thousands gather in Washington, DC and other cities around the country to stop the war now, and we are urging everyone to come.
We are at a critical moment, with Bush now escalating the war. Over 20,000 more troops are headed to Baghdad, and provocations toward Iran threaten to spread the war to the whole region. With 655,000 Iraqis and over 3,000 US troops killed so far, this escalation will only mean more death and more war crimes committed.
While millions of people are disgusted with this now escalating war, there is a crying need for this outrage to mobilized into massive resistance. It’s in moments like these, when the Bush regime faces huge problems with (even as Bush acknowledged) no easy solutions, and opposition to their new strategy inside the government and military, that the actions of millions of people can change the course of history.
Join us in refusing to accept war, torture, and theocracy as terms within which we must live.
This rally will set the stage for a World Can't Wait call for
100+ teach-ins to occur on college campuses all around the country in the next couple of months.
If ever there was a need for students to deeply understand the reality we confront and act to bring the war, torture, theocracy, & the Bush regime to a halt, IT IS NOW.
