The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about critical conflicts in Africa. The project is designed to address the University and Santa Cruz community by means of several different actions. These actions will include: a performance by Afro-funk artist, Prince Diabate; Presentation by Professional War Photographer, Mark Brecke; Lecture by Coordinator for Refugee Preventative Health Program, Paulino Paida; and other resources focused on the conflict. This year we will place much emphasis on the genocide occurring in Darfur, Sudan. Please join us for a FREE night of education, activism, and music! Donations appreciated.
