Counter-Intelligence Cabaret

Date:
Friday, January 19, 2007
Time:
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Event Type:
Concert/Show
Organizer/Author:
Dave Lippman
Location Details:
Dance Palace, 503 B Street, Pt. Reyes Station

Singing CIA Agent George Shrub and satirical songster Dave Lippman have terrified and delighted, according to their respective styles, audiences from the George Bush era to the era of George Bush. Shrub employs anti-folk songs and interventionary anthems to explain (and enforce) that the business of America is none of your business, that unions are never civil, and that the proper place for himself, like Wal-Mart, is everywhere. Lippman has been known to take the air out of the windbags of the week, de-distort history, and rewrite the classics with parody and thrust. He is one of America's foremost non-corporate comedians.

Lippman’s will present a multi-media piece, “The Streams Are Finding the River,” based on his travels in Venezuela. Any and all questions will be fielded and possibly answered.
