Bush wants to send an additional 20,000 troups to Iraq. As Ted Kennedy said yesterday, "Iraq is Bush's Vietnam". We, the American people, need to stand up and put the brakes on this dangerous plan. Let's deliver an immediate and direct response to the president's call for escalation: NO! Please come down to the Federal Building (5th & I St.) where Representative Doris Matsui's office is located. We will gather on the corner and let the passing motorists know that
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! NO ADDITIONAL TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME NOW!!
NO MORE TAXPAYER DOLLARS FOR BUSH'S OCCUPATION OF IRAQ!!
Bring your signs and your voices and let's send a message to Rep. Matsui and the rest of the country!

Address: 501 I Street
Location: Sacramento, CA 95814
Directions: The Federal Building is located on the corner of 5th and I (eye) St. in downtown Sacramento.

it's great to hear that folks are doing stuff up there.
by Granny Ruth R (info [at] raginggrannies.com)
Grannies threw wadded up paper at the TV while watching the Bush speech last night...our theme WAS going to be No Surge as we waved "surge protectors", as one fan said, "pefect for Silicon Valley"
...but after listening to the speech things are so much worse than a mere surge. So Thursday Jan 11 noon anti-war vigil our theme wil be "Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire!" as Bush heads into a plan for conflagration in the entire Middle East! Join us, bring a frying pan and a sign if you can...extras available.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
