1,000 PEOPLE SPELL OUT "IMPEACH!" IN PELOSI'S DISTRICT

Yeah great. Impeach Bush and than we get Dick Cheney for president. What a great plan liberals.

To the guy who suggested "Cheney for President?!", we must IMPEACH CHENEY FIRST. Next, IMPEACH BUSH. Then, Nancy Pelosi would actually be President, because she is 2nd in line to the Presidency. Stop ragging on liberals! Tell me, please, what good your neocon, war-mongering, "pre-emptive war plan", corporate fascist, fundamentalist religious agenda has done for us? The Constitution is being attacked, not from 19 guys with box-cutters, but from WITHIN. Please tell me why some Americans approve the president having the power to open our mail, read our email, or listen to our phonecalls WITHOUT A WARRANT? Is it because he wouldn't be able to prove his case against ordinary citizens in front of a FISA court judge? For Americans to deny themselves their right to the 4th Amendment which guarantees us protection against unreasonable search and seizure, makes them UNAMERICAN to begin with! They don't value the Constitution, so why do they bother living here? Why does Bush set himself above the law, by attaching signing statements to over 800 laws, once they've been passed by Congress? Signing statements are not able to be debated by Congress. He doesn't veto bills, because he thinks he doesn't have to, he can change them after they are approved. Impeachment is too good for this guy!

Sorry I don't want Cheney for president. I was being sarcastic. I'm an anarchist not a neocon. What the fuck is impeaching Bush going to do. We have more important things to be working on.

This is of course a technical consideration and really does not matter in the broader scope of things. These publicity stunts, whether they be walking on the Golden Gate Bridge, where nobody lives, or posing for a photograph calling for impeachment to be put on a mailer, presumably to send to the worthless Congress, will not stop any war nor solve any domestic problems. Of course, if one calls for impeaching Bush, one must also impeach Cheney. Then we are left with Pelosi, the millionaire who has voted for war funds, for the Patriot Act, for the US military base called Israel and its theft of Palestinian land and murder of the Palestinians, who has been a staunch supporter of all stadium swindles and its most notorious promoter, the fascist thug former leading gambling and anti-rent control Speaker of the California Assembly and later election-frauding mayor of San Francisco, Willie Brown, and all the rest of the horrors perpetrated by the Democratic Party including election fraud to put the current reactionary Democratic mayor in office, Gavin Newsom, the same as the Republican Party, from the death penalty to allowing the Democratic Party to welcome the anti-abortion crowd to the Democratic Party and all the rest. She jumped into the Congressional race in 1987 when it was an open seat after Sala Burton died when Harry Britt, then an openly gay member of the Board of Supervisors, had a good chance of being elected to Congress, which would have made him the first openly gay person being elected to Congress. He was also staunchly pro-rent control and from the workingclass. The Democratic Party would not allow anyone but a member of the ruling class to represent most of San Francisco and found such a person in a Democratic Party hack who had never held elected office, Nancy Pelosi.

The war against Vietnam was stopped by the US soldiers who refused to fight or if they did go into the field, refused to fire their weapons, after 1968, the big Tet offensive. Any officer who got carried away with the idea of fighting did not live to see the morning as they became victims of fragging. Thousands of soliders went AWOL (absent without leave) and thousands never joined, of course. Outside of the military, the anti-draft movement in 1968 (and in some areas like the SF Bay Area, shortly after the 1964 contrived Gulf of Tonkin incident) became massive across the nation with every university campus of any size being a hotbed of activism in opposing the war and the draft. It was the fight against the draft that fueled most of the protests, and when the draft ended in 1973, so did most of the protests. It takes soldiers to fight a war and if no soldiers fight those wars, they do not exist. Since it is the workingclass who fight all wars, counter-recruitment in the workingclass communities is the primary means of ending the war in Iraq and all other US imperialist wars around the world, all to maximize the profits of the war profiteers and the capitalist class. Our peace demonstrations must be in the workingclass communities and we must leaflet all of the young people to teach them to never join the military. We must state on the leaflet the alternatives of community colleges and labor organizing if the low wage jobs do not pay enough. The US Congress cannot and will not end the war as they are all part of the war machine. The Democratic and Republican Parties are the twin parties of war and fascism. Only by organizing the workingclass to stop murdering the workers of the world for the profits of the capitalist class can we put an end to war.

The above comment is great. When will the majority of US citizens be represented by one of us? Millionaires are great for other millionaires but not for one of the hundreds of millions of Americans working pay check to pay check.
