Sexual Reproductive Freedom - 1960's To Now

by Rubble
BAYCORR organizer Elizabeth Creeley interviews Ruth Mahaney, co-founder of the Midwest Abortion Counseling Service in Illinois in the late 60's. Ruth describes the groundbreaking work and repressive climate around abortion, at a time when abortion was not only illegal and performed underground, but it was considered a crime to even provide information to women seeking abortion. The event, "Sexual Reproductive Freedom, 1960's to Now" was held at CounterPULSE in SF on November 8. (16 min, 19 seconds)
