Do you love the Bay Area’s diversity of birds and wildlife? Looking for a way to help protect and restore wildlife habitat? Or work with an environmental education program for underserved youth? Perhaps a way to volunteer with an area non-profit dedicated to serving local conservation needs? This is your chance!
The Golden Gate Audubon Society will hold its quarterly Volunteer Orientation Night on Wednesday, December 13, from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Golden Gate Audubon headquarters (2530 San Pablo Avenue, Suite G, in Berkeley). This orientation is designed to provide you with the understanding and skills needed to successfully represent Golden Gate Audubon and speak knowledgeably about our work to conserve local birds and their habitat. Come join us to learn more about our conservation and education programs, our staff and volunteers, and the many ways you can help us in our efforts to protect and enjoy Bay Area wildlife.
The Volunteer Orientation Night is a great way to learn more about our work, how you can help, and meet other people interested in local birds and wildlife. We’ll also provide free pizza and refreshments for everyone who attends.
Please RSVP for the orientation by emailing Michael Martin at mmartin [at] goldengateaudubon.org or by calling (510) 843-7295. Please respond no later than Wednesday, December 6.
We look forward to welcoming you to the work and fun of volunteering with Golden Gate Audubon. Your work helps make a real difference for local birds and their habitats!
