Conquest: Sexual Violence and American Indian Genocide

Nancy Reiko Kato will review this powerful book in which Cherokee author and educator Andrea Smith places Native American women at the center of her analysis of sexual violence. Smith examines forms of violence from partner abuse to state-sponsored terrorism against women, especially women of color.

Also featuring reports on current Radical Women campaigns. A tasty dinner, with vegetarian option, will be served at 6:15pm for a $6.50 donation.

All meetings are held at New Valencia Hall, 1908 Mission Street in San Francisco (at 15th St., one block from 16th/Mission BART and on #14 & #39 Muni bus lines).
