FILM: "Shadya"
Shadya, a 17-year-old Muslim girl, Israeli citizen and World Karate Champion fights to win her independence from the traditional life expected by her community. SHADYA is a compassionate and painfully honest exploration of the evolution of a young Israeli-Arab woman with feminist ideas in a male-dominated culture set against the backdrop of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
