Several local bands have organized a show that will be a fundraiser
for Sandra Tellis. Tellis is a 45-year-old woman from Oakland, California. On
Friday,
Sept. 1, she was beaten, tied
up, and set on fire. She is in critical condition in a Bay Area
hospital
and is slowly recovering.

A number of local hard rock bands are planning a benefit concert for
Sandra on Friday, October 27. The concert will be held at the Uptown,
which is located at 1938 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland. Participating
bands
include Placenta, Soul Broker, The Greenhouse Effect and Stonecutter.
70%
of the price of admission ($8) goes to the fund (this is the percentage
that the bands would be making), and $2/CD sold. We will also have a
donation box at the door, and we will be "passing the hat" during every
set. For additional information, please contact Placenta at
shadeshaman [at] hotmail.com or check our website at
