just a fyi: i tried to get the person who took the video to upload it to Indybay but s/he didn't respond, so that's why i had to put in the youtube link.
Thanks for the great video clip!
We recommend that you upload your video to the santa cruz indymedia web site in addition to or perhaps instead of corporate sites like google and flickr because
1 -- Santa Cruz Indymedia is an archival site; as long as there are computers, anything you upload here will be available at no cost. The corporate sites might disappear or start charging at anytime. They have absolutely no commitment to our communities.
2 -- If your videos are only available on a corporate site, readers of Santa Cruz Indymedia must endure corporate advertising to view them. Santa Cruz Indymedia does not permit advertisements.
3 -- By uploading your content to Santa Cruz Indymedia (or other noncorporate, community media web sites), you are supporting and participating in developing alternative, independent media free from corporate/"national security" control and manipulation. The corporate sites are working against the emergence of community and resistance, whereas Santa Cruz Indymedia is working in support of local communities and resistance movements. Indymedia might not have the technical sophistication of the corporate sites, but it is working towards a world free from corporate domination.
Thanks for your support. If you encounter any difficulties uploading content, write to us at scimc AT indymedia d0t org
