LOCAL SOLUTIONS TO GLOBAL PROBLEMS is a coalition of concerned citizens and advocacy groups who are finding ways to address the dual challenges of world-wide depletion of the fossil fuels (Peak Oil) and global warming/climate change. Scientific evidence tells us that these two related issues will be among the most pressing problems we face in the years ahead. While our leaders have been slow to acknowledge and take action on either of these issues, a grassroots movement has started throughout the country to promote choices for a more sustainable energy future. Many communities are working on adopting Peak Oil Resolutions in order to help guide local energy policy and educate the local population.
