Join youth from throughout Oakland to mobilize to
elect Aimee Allison (http://www.aimeeallison.org) this
Sunday, October 22 (and every Sunday until the
election) beginning at noon at the Aimee Allison
campaign headquarters, 3208 Grand Ave (2 doors down
from Grand Lake Theater).
Adult allies are needed to help drive, train and
support youth as they mobilize! There will be
art-making, flyering, precinct walking, public
visibility actions and more. Please come show your
support!
This event is being sponsored by the League of Young
Voters in coordination with many others who support
and care about the lives of Oakland youth. Our youth
have been consistently left behind by politics as
usual in Oakland. Aimee pledges and has shown she
supports and cares about our youth. Among other
things Aimee has pledged to double the amount of money
Oakland spends on youth programming. She also has
shown commitment to oppose policies that further
criminalize our youth, and supports putting these
resources into positive action.
For more information or to RSVP that you will be
coming please contact Gina [at] indyvoter.org or
(760) 579 – 1633.
