ART FOR AIMEE
Art Party; a better Oakland is possible!
Wednesday October 18, 5-9pm
@ Aimee's Campaign storefront
3208 Grand Ave-- next door to the Grand Lake Theater, Oakland
Join us from to make giant, colorful art for Aimee Allison's energetic
campaign to help create the better world we all know is possible right
here in Oakland! We will paint images that will create visibility and stir
up and inspire the local community. All local artists, cultural workers
and non artists are urged to step up! Anyone who can hold a paintbrush can
help! A better Oakland is possible and paintable!
Aimee Allison is running for Oakland City Council as a Green candidate, and standing up to the local Democratic Party machine. A former military conscientious objector, she has been an incredible force in the anti-war movement and in working with youth. Now she's willing to step up for the
progressive community and enter Oakland City Hall to change the world, starting here at home.
