Brava Theater Presents: Singer/Songwriter Janis Ian!!

Brava Theater Center is proud to present Janis Ian for a one night only engagement as she makes her way through the world-wide tour celebrating her first all-original album in 25 years. 2006 sees the release of Ian’s twentieth major-label album, “Folk Is the New Black”, an album considered by many to be a songwriter’s tour de force, taking no prisoners, from the political commentary to the title song, (“Folk is the new black/cheaper than crack/and you don’t have to cook”). As Ian states, “I wanted to make real music. Forget about the perfection, folk music isn’t about that. It’s about heart.”
