Enough is Enough!
We Demand Self-Determination for our Communities!
On MONDAY, OCTOBER 16th we call for our people to unite to end the
City and County of San Francisco's official policy of de-population
and systematic destruction of the African American, Latino,
Asian/Pacific Islander and Immigrant communities of Bayview Hunters
Point, Western Addition, the Mission, and South of Market.
WE DEMAND AN END TO:
~ Housing and condo development projects that displace poor African
Americans, Latinos and Asian/Pacific Islanders, business development
that tears down neighborhoods, and the evictions of families from
the City;
~ The use of law enforcement to harass, abuse, and criminalize African
American, Latino, and Asian/Pacific Islander youth and the use of
the INS to deport immigrants;
~ The closure of schools and recreation centers in the poorest
communities;
~ The disenfranchisement of more than 33,000 valid signatures that
called for an end to the occupation of Bayview Hunters Point by the
Redevelopment Agency;
~ Cameras and curfews as the answer to crime and violence
***Join us on the 10-year anniversary of the Million Man March and the
anniversary of police brutality at Thurgood Marshall High School to
demand an end to the destruction of our communities!
