Modern Times' Birthday Bashes(es)
Not a Day Wasted
Saturday, October 21 2:00
COST: $10 members, $15 non-members, $30 membership + admission (one sangria included in price). No one turned away for lack of funds.
The first and more raucous of our two days of events celebrating 35 years worth of Modern Times. Soar to new heights of fun with musicians, performers, and staff members as you remember your favorite parts of the little bookstore that still thinks it can! Witness the unveiling of our new and beautiful sponsors plaque commemorating some of the lionhearted individuals who have helped keep the store open. Guests include The Brass Liberation Orchestra, video artist Kirthi Nath, DJs El Doctor from Los Angeles and Lady Selector from New Orleans, plus dance performers from the Change of State Performance Project. There will even be a cakewalk! A benefit for the bookstore.
